ROLE
Technical Program Manager II
FOR
Riot Games
DATE
2020 – 2022
DESCRIPTION
I Lead the worksystem effort that provides data-driven qualitative Program Delivery Health metrics, and iteration roadmap planning for Riot's Infrastructure Platform Initiatve composed of 14 cross-functional teams and ~150 engineers distributed across the globe.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
WORKSYSTEM ARCHITECT
I architected and implemented a unified worksystem for the 14 teams in Infrastructure Platform that enables automated reporting for the entirety of Infrastructure Platform's program roadmap composed of over 380 projects containing over 20000 unique issues annually. My automation efforts have resulted in automated realtime notifications on delivery health and risk management metrics and KPI that empower instant planning insights, automated OKR reporting and automated alert metrics to aid in real-time risk mitigation operations.
My efforts in worksystem architecture and automation have become adopted as the program management standard by more than 5 other platform teams outside of my sphere of ownership.
KEY CONTRIBUTIONS
• I co-chartered the creation of the Riot Worksystem Workgroup Comittee, which has aligned worksystem leaders across riot in identifying and executing on value gains in Worksystem and Program Management standards at Riot, and provide a space to share craft learnings.
• I created curriculum for advanced jira roadmapping using structure and a method in Miro for remote facilitation to teach the course to over 50 senior leaders across multiple Riot offices during the Covid WFH period.
• To encourage innovation and fun within Infrastructure Platform, I produced and facilitated Consecutive Infrastructure Platform hackathons, where 60+ Engineers would collaborate in groups to produce working code over 3 days across 4 judgement criteria (Value to Riot, Coolness, Realistic Capability, Level of Innovation) for the top prize and a chance at landing continued development on the roadmap.
